Hundreds of field samples of Australian Plague Locusts from farms and public land around the Mildura Incident Control Centre in Northern Victoria, Australia are being collected and analysed as part of the fight against the upcoming locust plague. The Victorian government has pledged $43.5million in support to help combat what could be the worst locust plague in over 75 years in South Eastern Australia with potential imapcts on agriculture of over $2 billion.
